Why this event matters. On August 1, 1876, Colorado became the 38th state. The Mile High 150 Expo is a celebration of that milestone, honoring 150 years of innovation, aviation, military service, pioneers, and the people who shaped Colorado's future.

One day, one airport, 150 years of Colorado spirit — celebrated with the most ambitious aerial and community programming the state has ever seen.
Every act and activation ties back to Colorado's 150th. Aerial performances, community celebration, and a 300-drone light show finale that's only happening this year.

Yes — the Mile High 150 Expo takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, Colorado Day.
Saturday, August 1: RMMA Terminal Ramp main gates open at 4:00 PM. The 300-drone show finale closes out the night at 9:30 PM.
Absolutely. Kids 12 and under are free with a ticketed GA adult — please note this applies to General Admission only, not the VIP Chalet.
Handicap parking is available close to the main event — $10, card payment only. ADA seating across all viewing zones, accessible restrooms, and companion admission are also available. Email us if you'd like help planning your visit.
Paid on-site lots — GA parking $10, VIP parking $25, Handicap parking $10. All parking is card payment only — no cash accepted. Rideshare pickup and drop-off is closest to the event, completely free, and a great option. No prepaid parking passes.
The expo runs rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, see our refund and reschedule policy on the Tickets page.
Outside food and coolers are not permitted. The Blue Sky Bistro will be on-site with a great selection of food, plus full bars throughout the event. Empty refillable water bottles are welcome — free fill stations available.
The 300-drone light show is performed by the Innovation Center Drone Performance Team of St. Vrain Valley Schools in Longmont, Colorado — the world's first high school student-led outdoor drone show team. Students design every aerial animation, compose original music, and manage the entire production from planning through flight. The show uses 300 Firefly Gen2 drones and begins at 9:30 PM.
